Churchwardens' accounts of sacrament offerings 1724-37

These accounts are written in the parish register after the 1739 marriages. Sacrament money, collected four times a year, was "disposed of to such pious and charitable uses, as the Minister and Church-wardens shall think fit" (Codex Juris Ecclesiastici Anglicani p.392).

Gurneys widow: Joseph Gurney died in 1728; his widow Dorothy does not appear to have been badly off.

Bences Child: Mary, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Bence, was bap. 28 Aug 1731 and buried 2 Feb 1731/2.

J(oh)n Mains Widow: John Main was buried on 7 July 1732

W(i)d(ow) Herbert: Probably Elizabeth, widow of Walter Herbert (d.1702).
